5 Tips From a Current PA-S

1. Focus on GPA! Many schools want to see a GPA above 3.5!

2. Do your research! Look into cost, clinical affiliations, rotations, elective opportunities, etc. to see if a school is a good fit for you before applying

3. Before interviews make sure you review the state laws regarding the scope of practice for PAs in that state (this is a common question in interviews!)

4. Make sure your letters of recommendation are written by people who know you well and can say unique and genuine things about you!

5. If you need to retake a prerequisite, retake it at the same school you took the original course, this way CASPA will know to replace the score instead of averaging in both into your GPA!
