First Blog Post! - Lauren Freebery

My name is Lauren Freebery and I am currently a sophomore Health Behavior Science Major, with a minor in Biology.  I am from Hockessin, Delaware.  This semester I am currently taking Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Microbiology.  I am in the process of finishing up my last prerequisites, as well as continuing to gain patient contact hours and health care experience!  I am obtaining these hours through volunteering as an EMT at the University of Delaware's Emergency Care Unit (UDECU) and as a Physical Therapist Aide at the Star Campus.  I also usually volunteer at Beebe hospital in the summers as a student aide in the Emergency Department.  I am super excited to continue my journey of becoming a Physician assistant, especially in the next year as I take the GRE and begin the application process! One of my favorite quotes that I love to live by is, "Always go with the choice that scares you the most  and surround yourself with people that inspire you, for it is only then when you grow."
